Dog House

A Miss M has kindly pointed this out to me.

Beat this for a description (from the hotel's own website):

"Dog Bark Park Inn is a bed & breakfast guesthouse inside the World's Biggest Beagle. Guests enter the body of the beagle from a private 2nd story deck. Some of the dog's decorative furnishings are carvings by Dog Bark Park chainsaw artists Dennis & Frances. Inside and up another level to the head of the dog is a loft room with additional sleeping space plus a cozy alcove in the muzzle."

Guests enter the body of the beagle? Jeepers.

Its difficult to tell with that photo, but judging by the direction of the stairs on the right, it looks like you enter via the exit, so to speak!

Sam,

I think they've rather coyly avoided confronting that scenario by deflecting the entrance to the side and in through the stomach of the hound. Probably you should enter through the muzzle (currently a sleeping alcove) and exit via the exit. Or is that too literal?

Personally I am disturbed too by the proximity of the photos of dogs to the photos of chainsaws on their website.

Ooooh, I thought that was a separate balcony!

Personally, I would've modelled the building after a different breed of dog. Sausage dog, maybe, for a bit more space instead. Likewise: themed interiors? Like a science museum for children. You could sleep in comfy kidney beds.
